We’ve been building software long enough to know the pain: you sign up for a project management tool that’s perfect for your team, spend weeks migrating data and training everyone, and then — six months later — the pricing doubles, a feature gets paywalled, or the company simply disappears. We were tired of it. So we built TskVlo.
What Is TskVlo?
TskVlo is a free, open-source project management platform built for teams that want real control over how they work. Your data, your rules. There are no per-seat fees, no vendor lock-in, and no surprise pricing changes.
Workspaces and Boards
At the core of TskVlo is a simple but powerful structure: workspaces contain boards, and boards contain items (tasks). Workspaces let you separate different teams, clients, or departments cleanly. Each workspace has its own members and roles, so a freelancer can keep Client A completely isolated from Client B, and an agency can give each client’s team access only to what they need.
Inside a workspace, boards are fully flexible. Whether you’re running a software sprint, managing a content calendar, or tracking a research project, boards adapt to your process — not the other way around.
12 Custom Field Types
One of the features we’re most proud of is TskVlo’s field system. Every board can have unlimited custom fields: text, numbers, status dropdowns with custom colors, date ranges, person assignments, checkboxes, tags, ratings, progress bars, and even computed formula fields. You’re not forced into someone else’s idea of what a “task” should look like. And when you need documents or screenshots, file attachments live directly on items and comments.
AI Integration via MCP
We believe AI should be a first-class citizen in your workflow, not a bolt-on feature that reads your screen. TskVlo ships with a full Model Context Protocol (MCP) server out of the box. This means you can connect Claude or any MCP-compatible AI assistant directly to your TskVlo instance. Ask your AI to create a board, query all overdue items, assign tasks to team members, or summarize progress — all without leaving your conversation.
We’ll have a full guide on setting up the MCP integration, but the short version is: create an API key in TskVlo settings, point your AI client at the MCP server URL, and you’re ready to go.
Get Started in Minutes
Getting started with TskVlo takes under two minutes. Head to dash.tskvlo.app, create your free account, and you’re ready to go. No setup, no servers, no configuration.
1. Sign up at dash.tskvlo.app
2. Create your first workspace
3. Invite your team
That’s it. The beta gives you access to all features immediately — custom fields, automation, time tracking, AI integration.
What’s Next
TskVlo is free during the beta — sign up and get access to every feature immediately. We’re also planning enhanced automation rules, a time-tracking dashboard, and expanded MCP tooling. Pro plans with priority support are coming soon.
We’re building this in the open. Follow us on GitHub, open issues, submit PRs, and tell us what your team needs most. TskVlo is only as good as the community that builds it.
Welcome aboard.
