Git Integration, Board Sharing, Browser Notifications, and More

A look at everything new in TskVlo since June 2026: GitHub and GitLab integration, public board sharing links, browser push notifications, drag-and-drop table sorting, and real-time live notifications.

Git Integration, Board Sharing, Browser Notifications, and More

A lot has landed in TskVlo over the past few weeks. Here’s a roundup of everything that’s new.

Git Integration

The biggest addition: TskVlo now connects to GitHub and GitLab. Link pull requests, merge requests, issues, and commits directly to tasks — and let status flow automatically.

A workspace admin connects repositories once in Workspace Settings → Git Connections with a read-access token. After that, anyone on the workspace can open a task, go to the Git Links tab, and paste a PR or issue URL. TskVlo resolves it immediately and starts tracking state:

  • Open / merged / closed — stays current automatically
  • Draft status — instantly visible on the card
  • CI pipeline result — success, failed, or pending right on the task

The integration also feeds the automation engine. Create a rule that fires when a linked PR is merged — move the task to Done, notify the team, whatever fits your workflow. No polling dashboards, no tab-switching: the moment the code lands, the board knows.

Details in the Git integration guide.

Board Sharing

Every board can now be shared via a public link — no login required for the viewer. Create a share link with the Share button in the board header and configure exactly what recipients see:

  • Choose which view types are available (Table, Kanban, Calendar, …)
  • Set the default view
  • Hide specific fields from the shared view
  • Include or exclude time tracking data and comments
  • Optionally anonymize person fields for client-facing shares
  • Set an expiry date on any link

One board can have multiple share links — a detailed internal view and a clean client-facing one, side by side. Shared boards update in real time, so stakeholders always see the current state.

Browser Notifications

TskVlo can now send notifications directly to your browser — even when the tab is closed or the app isn’t open.

Grant permission once in Account Settings → Notifications, then pick exactly which events should trigger a browser alert: comments, assignments, due dates, mentions — your choice. Clicking a notification takes you straight to the relevant item.

Pair this with the existing email notification controls for a complete notification setup across every channel.

Real-Time Live Notifications

In-app notifications no longer require a page reload. A dedicated background connection now delivers notifications the instant they happen:

  • The notification counter updates in real time
  • Toast messages pop up immediately with a progress bar showing how long they’ll stay
  • Toasts pause while the tab is in the background — so you won’t miss them when you switch back
  • The connection reconnects automatically after network interruptions

Drag & Drop Sorting in Table View

Items in Table view can now be reordered by dragging. Grab the handle on any row and drop it where you want it — within the same group or into a different one. The custom order is saved and restored automatically.

This works alongside the existing sort-by-field option. When you have a field-based sort active, items snap to that order; switch it off and your manual arrangement takes over.

Shift Multi-select

Hold Shift and click to select a range of tasks in Table view. Select one item, shift-click another, and everything between them is selected at once. Use it to bulk-move, bulk-edit, or bulk-delete — operations that used to mean clicking each item individually.

Subtasks from the Context Menu

Adding a subtask no longer requires opening the full item detail panel. Click the … menu on any item in Table or Kanban view and choose Add Subtask — the subtask is created inline without leaving the board.

Search by ID

Paste an item ID directly into the search bar to jump straight to that task. Useful when an ID is shared in a chat message, commit body, or support ticket.

All of these features are live now. As always — let us know what you think, and what you’d like to see next.
