- v1.20.1Neueste Version
Team Tasks Filter & Editor Fixes
Bugfixes
Status Filter
- Renamed statuses such as Kann starten now show up in the status filter of Team Tasks and My Tasks, even when another board uses a different name for the same default status
- Filtering by a status now only shows tasks whose status has exactly that name, instead of also including tasks from boards that call it something else
Editor
- The text cursor in the comment box now stays on the right line after scrolling through a longer comment
- The Paste link box in the editor is styled correctly again and matches the formatting toolbar
Improvements
Mobile Filters
- The date, board, and status filters in Team Tasks and My Tasks now use your device's native pickers on mobile
- v1.20.0
Pinned Comments, Automations via MCP & Mobile Views
New Feature
Pin Comments
Keep the important part of a discussion in view:
- Pin any top-level comment to the top of an item's thread, and unpin it again with one click
- Pinned comments are highlighted and marked with a Pinned badge
- Pins are shared with everyone on the board, and also show up on share links and through the TskVlo MCP server
Sort Comments
- Switch an item's comment thread between Oldest first and Newest first
- Your choice is remembered, and pinned comments always stay on top
Automations via MCP
AI assistants and integrations can now manage board automations through the TskVlo MCP server:
- List, view, create, update, and delete automation rules
- Run a manual automation rule, optionally against a specific item
- Rules are checked before they are saved, so a rule can only reference fields and groups of its own board
- Changes made over MCP show up immediately in the open automation settings, with no reload needed
Improvements
Mobile Experience
- The board view switcher becomes a compact dropdown on mobile, and the sort, density, and field options fold away behind an Options button
- Team Tasks and My Tasks get the same compact view switcher and a collapsible filter toolbar
- The calendar on mobile shows a compact month grid with colored dots per day, plus a list of the selected day's items below it
- The calendar's week view on mobile turns into a vertical agenda, one day per row
- Board and workspace settings navigation now scrolls on small screens instead of cutting off entries
- Dialogs stay centered above the on-screen keyboard on Android instead of having to be scrolled into view
Automation Rules
- Invalid automation rules — unknown triggers, conditions, or actions, or a missing name or action — are now rejected with a clear error instead of being saved
Bugfixes
- Fixed the spacing in the My Tasks view
- The quick actions on the workspace home and board overview now fit the layout on every screen width
- v1.19.0
Cross-Board Item Moves & Mobile Polish
New Feature
Move Items Between Boards
Moving an item to a different board is now a deliberate, supported action across the API, public API, and TskVlo MCP server:
- Move an item to another board by targeting one of its groups — its sub-items come along as a full subtree
- Field values transfer automatically when the target board has a matching field of the same name and type; Status and Tags values are re-matched by option label
- Values with no matching field on the target board are dropped, and the response reports how many field values moved and how many were dropped
Improvements
Mobile Experience
- Wiki and Docs now show one column at a time on mobile — open a page, then use the new back button to return to the tree
- The mobile sidebar drawer is wider, making it easier to tap
- Tapping a link in the sidebar now closes the mobile drawer automatically
- Notification filter buttons on the notifications page no longer overflow on narrow screens
- My Tasks adapts its toolbar and KPI cards to the available panel width, not just the screen size
Search
- The search window is larger and now uses real page-based pagination instead of a growing "load more" list
What's New Panel
- Swipe left or right to move between releases on touch devices
- The panel now fits taller on larger screens
Item Detail
- The comment resize handle now works with touch dragging, not just the mouse
- The item description editor uses the full width of the panel instead of reserving space for the block-insert gutter
Bugfixes
- Assigning an item to a group from a different board used to move the item to that board silently, leaving its field values pointing at fields that no longer applied and stranding its sub-items on the old board. Moving an item across boards now has to be requested explicitly, and brings its field values and sub-items along correctly.
- v1.18.1
Live Read Notification Updates
Bugfixes
Notification Read Status
- Notifications marked as read elsewhere — including through the TskVlo MCP server or in another browser tab — now update in the open app right away, with no reload needed
- Your unread notification counter now stays in sync as notifications are marked read
- v1.18.0
Notifications via MCP
New Feature
Notifications via MCP
Your notification inbox is now available to AI assistants and integrations through the TskVlo MCP server:
- Read the mentions, assignments, comments, and replies waiting for you without leaving your assistant
- Unread notifications are shown by default, or pull up your whole inbox when you need the full picture
- Each notification comes back compact — its type, board, item, who triggered it, a short excerpt, read state, and when it happened
- Narrow the list down to a single board or to everything since a given date, and page through larger inboxes
- Mark a single notification or a whole batch of them as read
- Both tools need an OAuth-authenticated session, since a workspace API key belongs to no user and has no inbox
- v1.17.0
Inline Bulk Edit Bar
Improvements
Inline Bulk Edit Bar
Editing many items at once is faster and clearer:
- The bulk edit bar now docks to the bottom of the table instead of floating over it, with one column per field lined up directly under its column in the rows above
- Stage a value for a field right where it will land — no separate "Edit fields" panel to open first
- Move to group, duplicate, archive, and delete are now available directly from the bar
- Apply shows exactly how many field changes are staged before you commit them
- Clear a single staged field without resetting the whole bar
Tags Field Display
- Tag chips now use the same soft-background, colored-text style as Status chips, replacing the solid color fill
Bugfixes
- Fixed a tag color hashing bug that could leave a tag with no background color at all
- v1.16.0
Read-Only API Keys & Nested Subtasks
New Feature
Read-Only API Keys
Give integrations exactly the access they need:
- Create a workspace API key as read-only, restricting it to reads and blocking any tool or endpoint that writes
- The TskVlo MCP server now hides write tools entirely from a read-only key's tool list, instead of just rejecting the call when it's used
- When authorizing an MCP OAuth client that asked for write access, you can downgrade the grant to read-only right from the consent screen
Improvements
Nested Subtasks Everywhere
Subtasks now work the same wherever you manage tasks:
- Add a subtask under any subtask, not just top-level items, from the table view or a row's … menu
- A quick-add button next to each row skips the menu entirely
- Pin, archive, copy ID, and delete are now available directly from a subtask's row menu
- My Tasks nests your subtasks under their parent, even when the parent isn't assigned to you, with a collapsible tree
- Changes made in the item detail panel — status, assignee, due date, archiving — now reflect immediately back into My Tasks instead of waiting for a reload
My Tasks Planning Groups
- New Next week, This month, and Next month groups join Today and This week, so upcoming work stays visible before it's due
- Next week and next month only appear once they're close enough to be worth planning around
- This week now lines up with the calendar week instead of a rolling 7-day window
Unified Markdown Editor
- Comments, item descriptions, AI chat messages, and Wiki content now share the same editor, so formatting and rendering behave identically everywhere
- Code blocks support search, and copying a snippet now confirms with a toast
- The comment composer is resizable, and your preferred height is remembered across sessions
- A quiet "draft saved" indicator confirms your in-progress comment was preserved
Tag Colors Adapt to Theme
- Tag chip colors are now tuned separately for light and dark mode, keeping label text readable in both
Bugfixes
- Adding a subtask under a collapsed row now expands it automatically, instead of hiding the row you just added
- Whitespace-only comment drafts are no longer saved as if you had typed something
- v1.15.0
Appearance, Branding & Storage Controls
New Feature
Appearance Preferences
Make TskVlo feel more comfortable for the way you work:
- Choose light, dark, or system theme mode from your account settings
- Pick a custom accent color for buttons and highlights
- Select separate surface styles for light and dark mode
- Adjust board density between compact, comfortable, and spacious layouts in table, kanban, calendar, and timeline views
Workspace Branding
Workspace owners and admins can now customize how a workspace appears:
- Upload a workspace logo and set a brand color from workspace settings
- Show workspace branding in the sidebar and on public share links
- Public share pages use the workspace brand color for their accent styling
Improvements
Storage Visibility & Quotas
Storage usage is now easier to understand and manage:
- Workspace members can view current storage usage and quota from workspace settings
- Workspace analytics now include storage usage and quota information
- Platform admins can review usage and set per-workspace storage quotas from the admin workspace list
- File, comment, and Wiki attachment uploads now stop when a workspace exceeds its configured quota
Bugfixes
- Workspace logos now update in the sidebar when switching or updating workspaces
- v1.14.0
MCP OAuth & Desktop Improvements
New Feature
MCP OAuth Support
The TskVlo MCP server now supports OAuth 2.0 authorization:
- Register OAuth clients for external applications to access the MCP server
- Full PKCE support for secure authorization code flow
- Configurable scopes and redirect URIs
- Token management with refresh token support
Improvements
Markdown Editor
- Paste images directly from the clipboard into the markdown editor
- Images are automatically uploaded and embedded in your content
MCP Server
- Compact item serialization for MCP responses to avoid context window limits
- Resolves option IDs to labels server-side for more readable responses
- Configurable field filtering and description truncation
Desktop App
- Unread notification count now appears in the window tab title
- App version is displayed in user settings for easier debugging
- Fixed Electron API calls throughout the dashboard
Bugfixes
- Fixed markdown editor formatting issues
- Fixed MCP server integration issues
- v1.13.2
MCP OAuth Foundation
New Feature
MCP OAuth Support
Initial OAuth 2.0 infrastructure for the MCP server:
- Added OAuth client and token database models
- Implemented authorization code flow with PKCE
- Added MCP_PUBLIC_URL environment variable for OAuth callbacks
- v1.13.1
Wiki Integrations & Desktop App
New Feature
Desktop App
TskVlo is now available as a desktop app, so you can keep your workspace close at hand outside the browser:
- Download TskVlo for Windows or Linux from the TskVlo download page
- Use the same boards, tasks, and workspace Wiki from a dedicated desktop window
Improvements
Wiki via MCP & Public API
The workspace Wiki is now available to integrations and AI assistants:
- Read, create, update, move, and delete Wiki pages through the public API
- Use the new Wiki tools and workspace Wiki resource through the TskVlo MCP server
- API keys remain scoped to a single workspace, keeping Wiki access isolated to the workspace they belong to
- v1.13.0
Workspace Wiki
New Feature
Workspace Wiki
Every workspace now has its own Wiki — a home for shared knowledge that lives independently of any single board:
- Organize pages into a nested tree that matches how your team actually thinks about its knowledge
- Write and format pages with a rich markdown editor, including headings, lists, tables, images, and code blocks
- Discuss a page directly on it with comments
- Attach files to a page for supporting documents and references
- Every save is tracked in a full revision history — review older versions and restore any one of them
- Deleted a page by mistake? Recover it from the new deleted-pages panel, or delete it permanently when you're sure
- Jump to the Wiki anytime from its new entry in the sidebar
- Wiki pages now appear alongside items in workspace search results
Improvements
Wiki Access Control
- Workspace owners and admins can grant or revoke individual members' access to the Wiki, alongside existing per-board access controls
Clearer Board Views
- The board-level Wiki view is now labeled Docs, making it easy to tell apart from the new workspace-wide Wiki
- v1.12.0
Email Intake, Localization & Workflow Polish
New Feature
Email Board Intake
Boards can now receive work directly from an email inbox, turning incoming messages into actionable items without manual copying:
- Connect an IMAP mailbox and enable email intake from board settings
- Choose the default group where new email-created items should land
- Incoming messages are imported as board items with their email context preserved
French Localization
The dashboard now supports French across the main workspace experience:
- Add French dashboard translations alongside English and German
- Localize date handling and markdown editor controls for French users
Improvements
Comment Draft Persistence
Comment writing is now more forgiving when you move around the app:
- Unsaved item comment drafts are remembered while you switch between items or tabs
- Returning to a comment box restores the text you were already writing
Unified Tag Field Colors
Tag fields now use a consistent color system across editing and display states:
- Pick tag colors from a shared palette in the tag field editor
- Tag chips keep their assigned colors consistently across the board and share views
Tag & Search Improvements
Finding and organizing work is smoother in boards with richer tag usage:
- Tag options are easier to manage from the field editor
- Workspace search now handles tag field values more reliably
- Search matching has been tightened so relevant items are easier to find
- Completed search results are grouped after open work and clearly marked with a done badge
Board Navigation Memory
TskVlo now remembers how you last viewed each board and keeps that context when you return:
- Sidebar, workspace overview, search results, settings navigation, and duplicated boards open with that board's last-used view
- New boards use the same view-routing behavior instead of always forcing table view
Table & Status Polish
Daily task flow is clearer across boards, My Tasks, and workspace dashboards:
- The item opened in the detail panel is highlighted in table rows, subtasks, and My Tasks
- Custom and localized status options like completed, closed, done, erledigt, or fini are recognized as completed work
- My Tasks, workspace stats, automations, recurring work, and dependency unblocking now use the same completed-status detection
Redesigned What's New Panel
The changelog you're reading right now got an upgrade:
- Browse one release at a time instead of scrolling through a long list
- Jump between versions with the chevron arrows or the dot pagination at the bottom
- The dots scroll smoothly and the active one grows with a subtle glow, so you always know where you are
- Section headers are bigger and easier to scan at a glance
Mobile Board & Table View
Working from a phone or tablet is smoother now:
- Board and table view layouts adapt better to narrow screens
- Scrolling, tapping, and navigating between items feels more natural on touch devices
- v1.11.0
Forms, Templates & Smarter Automations
New Feature
Public Board Forms
Collect requests, leads, bugs, or intake work from people outside your workspace and turn every submission into a board item:
- Create and manage public forms from board settings
- Choose the target group where new submissions should land
- Build forms from board fields, including required questions, placeholders, and conditional visibility
- Share a public form link, enable or disable each form, and customize the submit button and success message
Form Embeds
Public forms can now live directly on another website:
- Copy an embed script from the form details panel
- Embedded forms use a transparent background and resize automatically as their content changes
- Submitted responses still create items on the connected board
Board Templates
Starting a new board no longer has to mean starting from a blank slate:
- Create workspace templates from an existing board
- Browse built-in global templates for common workflows like sprint planning, project tracking, bug tracking, content calendars, sales, marketing, hiring, support, launches, events, and design reviews
- Pick a template when creating a board to bring over its fields, groups, and automations
- Manage workspace templates from the new board settings template page
Improvements
Automation Improvements
Automation rules can handle more of the follow-up work around a board:
- New triggers for comments, time logs, dependency unblocks, SCM status changes, schedules, and manual runs
- New actions to create items, assign people, send email, add comments, and set due dates
- Manual automation rules can be run from board settings
- Scheduled automation runs are tracked so a rule only runs once for its scheduled time
Polish
- Added missing English and German translations for the new forms, templates, and automation controls
Bugfixes
- Form submissions, field values, comments, time entries, and item changes now pass the triggering user through automation where needed
- v1.10.0
File Previews
New Feature
File Previews
No more downloading attachments just to see what they are. The Files tab can now preview files directly in the app:
- Image attachments show a thumbnail right in the file list
- Click the preview button to view images and PDFs in a full-size overlay
- Image previews are generated and cached server-side, so they load fast even for large originals
- Previews also work on public share pages
Improvements
- External links in descriptions, comments, and other markdown content now open in a new tab instead of navigating away from your board
Bugfixes
- New-comment notifications now respect board subscriptions — only members subscribed to the board are notified, instead of the entire workspace
- v1.9.0
Board-level Permissions & Resizable Sidebar
New Feature
Board-level Member Permissions
Workspace members can now be restricted to specific boards, giving you finer control over who sees what:
- Assign members access to only the boards they need — no more all-or-nothing workspace visibility
- Restricted members see only their allowed boards in the sidebar and workspace views
- Owners and Admins can manage board access from workspace settings
- Existing members remain unaffected until you explicitly apply restrictions
Resizable Sidebar
The sidebar is now resizable, so you can adjust it to fit your screen and preference:
- Drag the sidebar edge to make it wider or narrower
- Your chosen width is saved and restored across sessions
- v1.8.1
Webhook Automation Action
New Feature
Call Webhook Automation Action
Automation rules can now trigger external webhooks, opening up integrations with any service that accepts HTTP requests:
- Add a Call webhook action to any automation rule
- Configure the target URL and choose whether to include task data in the JSON payload
- Perfect for posting to Slack, triggering Zapier workflows, or notifying your own APIs when tasks change
- Works alongside existing actions like assign member, move to group, and send notification
- v1.8.0
Calendar Feed
New Feature
Calendar Feed
See your TskVlo due dates right in your calendar app. TskVlo now provides a personal iCal feed of all tasks assigned to you that have a date:
- Subscribe from your favourite calendar app (Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, …) via a personal feed URL
- Each assigned task with a date appears as an all-day event, including the board name and a link back to the board
- Grab your feed URL from your account settings — and rotate it anytime to invalidate the old link
Improvements
- The item detail panel now shows when an item was created
Bugfixes
- The @-mention popup in comments now opens above the cursor instead of covering the text you're typing
- Long words in item descriptions and comments now wrap correctly instead of overflowing the panel
- v1.7.1
My Tasks Fixes
Improvements
- My Tasks now filters assignments on the server and only loads the tasks that are actually shown, instead of fetching every item of every board — noticeably faster in large workspaces.
Bugfixes
- My Tasks / Team Tasks now shows all assigned tasks. Boards with more than 50 items previously only contributed their first 50, so assignments further down the board could be missing from the list.
- v1.7.0
Update Checks & Live Notifications
New Feature
Background Version Checks
TskVlo now checks for new releases in the background while you work. When a new version has been deployed, a prompt appears so you can reload and get the latest features right away — no more running on a stale build without knowing it.
Live Notifications Without Reload
Notifications now arrive in real time over a dedicated live connection:
- New notifications appear instantly in the notification list and unread counter — no reload required
- In-app toasts pop up the moment something happens, with a progress bar showing how long they'll stay
- Toasts pause while the tab is in the background, so you won't miss anything while you're away
- The connection reconnects automatically after network hiccups
- v1.6.0
Drag & Drop Sorting, Comment Editing & Search by ID
New Feature
Drag & Drop Sorting in Table View
Reorder items exactly how you want them:
- Drag items to a new position directly in the table view
- Move items between groups by dropping them where they belong
- Your custom order is saved and restored automatically
Edit Comments
Made a typo? You can now edit your own comments after posting — no more delete-and-repost.
Search by ID
Paste an item ID into the search bar to jump straight to that item. Handy for IDs shared in chats, commits, or tickets.
Copy Item ID
Copy an item's ID straight from the … menu in table view.
Improvements
- New Unread filter — show only notifications you haven't read yet
- Your Mentions only filter selection is now remembered across sessions
Bugfixes
- Long comments no longer overflow the item detail panel
- v1.5.0
Browser Notifications & SSE Improvements
New Feature
Browser Notifications
You can now receive push notifications directly in your browser — even when TskVlo is not open.
- Grant notification permission from your account settings
- Fine-grained control over which notification types trigger a browser alert
- Notifications link directly to the relevant item or board
Changelog
This very panel! Stay up to date with new features and improvements via the What's New button in the sidebar. A dot indicator appears whenever a version you haven't seen yet is available.
Improvements
Improved Real-Time Updates

- Exponential back-off on reconnect prevents hammering the server after a network blip
- Live notification toasts now dismiss cleanly without layout shifts
- Board updates arrive faster and with fewer missed events
- v1.4.0
Git Integration
New Feature
Git Integration
Link pull requests, merge requests, and issues directly to tasks.
- Connect GitHub or GitLab repositories in workspace settings
- Attach PRs / MRs to any task — status updates automatically
- See open, merged, and closed states at a glance from the board
- Automation rules can trigger when a PR is merged
- v1.3.0
Multi-select & Subtasks
New Feature
Shift Multi-select
Hold Shift and click to select a range of tasks in table view. Bulk-edit, move, or delete them in one go.
Subtasks via Context Menu
Add subtasks to any item directly from the … menu — no need to open the detail panel first.
- v1.2.0
Time Tracking & Automation
New Feature
Time Tracking
Log time against any task with the new time-entry panel.
- Start/stop a live timer or enter time manually
- View totals per task and per board member
- Export time entries as CSV
Automation Rules
Automate repetitive work with if-this-then-that rules:
- Trigger on status change, due date, or field value
- Actions: assign member, move to group, set field, send notification
- Per-board rule management with an audit log
- v1.1.0
Saved Views & Filters
New Feature
Saved Views
Save your current filter and sort configuration as a named view. Switch between views instantly from the toolbar.
Advanced Filter Builder
Combine multiple conditions with AND / OR logic to build precise filters across any field type.
