Not all work starts inside your workspace. Clients send requests, colleagues in other departments report problems, and candidates apply for jobs. Public board forms turn those requests into board items automatically — and board templates mean every new board starts with a proven structure instead of a blank page.
Public Board Forms
Create forms for a board under Board Settings → Forms. Each form has a title, an optional description that tells submitters what to provide, and a target group where new submissions land. A board can have as many forms as you need — for example, one for bug reports and one for feature requests, each feeding a different group.
Every submission creates a new item in the target group, with the answers filled in to the matching board fields. Nobody has to copy anything out of an inbox or a spreadsheet.
Built from Your Board Fields
Forms don’t have their own separate data model — you build them by picking which of the board’s fields to ask for. Each selected field becomes a question, and for each question you can:
- Change the question label shown to submitters
- Mark it as required
- Add a placeholder as helper text
Because questions map directly to board fields, a Status field becomes a dropdown, a Date field a date picker, a Rating field a row of stars, and a Tags field a tag input — the answers arrive already structured and filterable.
Conditional Visibility
Keep forms short by only asking what’s relevant. Any question after the first can be set to Show only after an earlier question, so it appears only when that question’s answer equals a value you define — for example, ask for an order number only when the submitter types “Billing” as the topic. Hidden questions are skipped on submit, including their required check.
Submit Button, Success Message, and On/Off Switch
Customize the submit button text and the success message submitters see once their request is in. Each form also has an Active switch: turn a form off to stop accepting submissions without losing its setup, and turn it back on whenever you need it again.
Share a Link or Embed the Form
Every form gets a public link you can copy from the form list and send to anyone — no TskVlo account required. To put a form directly on your own website, copy its embed script from the form details. The embedded form:
- Uses a transparent background, so it fits into your page’s design
- Resizes automatically as questions appear, disappear, or the success message is shown
- Creates items on the connected board, exactly like the public link
Email as Another Intake Path
Forms aren’t the only way in. Every board can also receive new items by email — the subject becomes the item title, the body the description. Use forms when you want structured answers in specific fields, and email when requests already arrive in someone’s inbox. See the email intake guide for setup.
Board Templates
When you create a new board, choose Use template to start from a ready-made structure instead of a blank board. Each template shows how many fields and groups it brings along before you pick it.
TskVlo includes 8 built-in templates for common workflows:
- Sprint Planning
- Project Tracking
- Bug Tracker
- Content Calendar
- Sales Pipeline
- Marketing Campaign
- Hiring Pipeline
- Support Tickets
Workspace Templates from Your Own Boards
Once a board works the way your team likes, save it as a workspace template — from the board’s Settings → Templates page or from Workspace Settings → Templates. The template captures the board’s fields, groups, and automation rules, and appears in the template picker for everyone in the workspace. That way, every team, client, or project starts with the same proven setup.
Workspace owners and admins can delete workspace templates that are no longer needed. Templates copy structure only — no items, comments, or files — so sensitive content from the source board never ends up in a new one.
